Description

The 3-stage magnetic separator is a type of dry magnetic separator with a high magnetic field intensity, permanent magnet and drum. It is used for the enrichment and purification of materials with low magnetic susceptibility and grain size between 0.1-25 mm. The magnets used in the production are Neodymium magnets and are stronger magnets at the moment worldwide than similar machines. With this feature and special magnet arrays, high attraction forces are exerted on the magnetic drum. The high magnetic attraction forces achieved allow the separation of magnetic minerals with low magnetic susceptibility and very fine sizes with high efficiency.

Operating principle

The machine generally consists of a conveyor frame, feed hopper, feeder, magnetic and passive rollers, product conveyor belt, drive motor and control panel. Magnetic separation drums are generally used after crushing and screening processes. The minerals that have passed through these processes with a size of -25 mm and a maximum moisture content of 5% flow smoothly over the conveyor belt with the help of the feed hopper and feeder. The conveyor belt moves on a magnetic and non-magnetic roller. When the product conveyed on the conveyor belt reaches the magnetic roller, the non-magnetic particles are discharged by means of centrifugal force and separated in the non-magnetic material duct. The magnetic particles continue to be transported in the drum due to  of the magnetic cylinder, until they are cut off by the magnetic force of the roller. The particles that are distracted by this force are transferred to the magnetic material conductor.

Areas of use

It is used for the removal of iron from ceramic raw materials and industrial raw materials, as well as in ore beneficiation operations. In addition, it is used in the following applications: high-grade quartz purification, magnesite beneficiation, sand or mineral sand use, limestone dolomite purification, foundry sand purification, refractory raw materials purification, boron beneficiation, chromite beneficiation, bauxite, feldspar purification, c. cleaning, cleaning glass with sand.
