Industries

It is used in recycling plants to separate scrap iron materials from other materials.

Description

The conveyor-belt drum magnetic separator, also known as dry cleaning (sorter), is used to recover concentrate, semi-concentrate, and mineral gangue from large-sized ferromagnetic materials with diameters up to 300 mm. In ore cleaning, the size of the material passing on the conveyor belt is very important. For this reason, separators have different magnet configurations and pole points for ore processing. The goal in designing these separators is to distribute the material within the magnetic field as effectively as possible. The rubber belt is supported by idler rollers to create resistance against the force generated at the feed point during discharge. The blade located under the magnetic drum is rubber-coated to protect against abrasion and can be easily replaced. The drive unit is mounted on the rear drum and consists of a gearbox, belts, pulleys, and a motor. If necessary, the belt speed can be adjusted between 0.5 and 2.5 m/sec.

Performance and Capacity

The capacity and performance of separators vary depending on the material and certain other criteria. These criteria include: the mineralogical composition of the material to be separated, particle size distribution, moisture, material throughput, the magnetic properties of the material, and the ratio of magnetic to non-magnetic materials. At Magnitech.gr, we gather the appropriate information before manufacturing and designing such machines, providing you with robust, safe, and efficient machines built to last.
