Ferrite magnets are easily recognised because of their dark grey colour and are the ones that many people remember from their school days. Unlike neodymium magnets, they are considered low magnetic power magnets and do not need any coating due to their non-corrosive material. All Ferrite magnets are axially magnetized, i.e. up and down on their large surfaces. Ferrite magnets are also known as classical ferrite magnets, ceramic magnets or ceramic permanent magnets. The advantages of ferrite magnets are the great durability they show at temperatures from -40°C to 250°C, their tightness that makes them ideal b for outdoor use and their low cost compared to Neodymium.
